Snow Day - January 2022

How amazing we were treated to THREE inches of snow on a Saturday January morning! Moose was the first to check out the snow.

Then it was running around tracking down all the cold weather gear to get the boys ready to play! That should be an Olympic sport - getting kids into snow pants.

The hill down to the pool worked well for our sledders. I tried sitting with them or giving them a push, but they much preferred the run and jump into the sled method.

Glad we have that second sled so there were no fights about sharing. Brock ended up wearing my snow pants as the ones hanging in his closet did not fit anymore.

It was cold! It only got up to 35 that day!

They didn't last much longer than this - the boys were cold and exhausted (and whiny). We all headed in for some hot cocoa.

After lunch, Moose was ready for another turn in the backyard. He especially loved trying to catch the snowballs!

A cute one minute video of Moose playing in the snow.

Later that day, these two were snuggling up watching the Titans lose, unfortunately.

And one more because Moose and Kade were in a posing mood!

Holiday Pictures for Christmas Card

These are pictures from our holiday photo session. It was a gorgeous sunny day one weekend in November and the trees looked especially fall-ish!

That's the problem with sun and my little Seattle babies! No sun in the eyes - otherwise they squint!

Oh, there were some tears too.

And then Moose had to do some zoomies!

Awesome picture - everyone is happy and smiling, but too shady!

My husband recommended we look the other way - background is better, but doesn't solve for the sun! Oh well!

Brotherly love!

Oh my goodness....  the log is to sit on, not lay on!

And the finished product! :)

Merry Christmas 2021

A gorgeous Christmas Eve in Apex! The sunset was amazing! Dinner was spaghetti meatballs (made with half beef, half venison!)

Brock helped decorate our Christmas cookies for Santa. We tried to make sugar cookie snowmen, but I think my sections were a bit too close together. They still tasted delicious! Here was Brock adding the final touch - the scarf!

Our neighborhood sets out the luminaria on Christmas Eve and it was a gorgeous night to walk around after dinner. The boys were running down the street - sure, go ahead and get out that last bit of energy!

Let's set out the milk & cookies (and one carrot for the reindeer to share), then it's off to bed!

My White House/RBG tree got a little upgrade this year (a bigger tree). :)

And our Family Room tree - after Santa made his deliveries.

The boys in the morning before opening anything!

Oh boy - Kade received his coveted Nintendo Switch!

He was so excited - he actually kissed the box!

I was excited! I received my Chrissy Teigen cookbook!

Thumbs up all around!

Something special for Brent and Brock!

We have three tickets for the Foo Fighters concert in May! I think Brent was excited! We'll let you know how Brock feels later.

Here's a little drone video for Grandpa Eason. Brock got it flying!

Apple pie with ice cream (or just ice cream) with Christmas sprinkles for dessert.

And we finally went to see the special houses in Apex with extraordinary Christmas lights/displays! We love this one best - the Star Wars house!

Merry Christmas to all friends and family near and far!
