Brent, Andrew, Lauren and I had a great time at Disneyland in Anaheim, California over Labor Day weekend! It was great company at a fabulous amusement park with beautiful sunny California weather. So glad it worked out and thanks to ESPN, we got fabulous discounts everywhere! :)
On Saturday we spent ALL day at Disneyland. Andrew and Lauren made reservations at the Blue Bayou for dinner - the restaurant
inside the Pirates of Caribbean ride.We had a great time, although it made for a very long day.

On Sunday, we went to the California Adventures Park - it had a very different feel compared to the Disneyland park. You have to remember Disneyland was built in 1955 and California just opened in 2001. There were so many lands to explore, but we were spent from the day before and took it a little easier. Brent and I had reservations at Steakhouse 55 for dinner at the Disneyland Hotel. Delicious food again. Next time we go back, we'll surely stay at one of the three Disney properties.

The gang in the newly opened Cars Land (opened June 15, 2012). Unfortunately the "best" ride "Radiator Springs Racers" was not operational that day so we couldn't even see it, let alone try to wait in the 2 hour line for the ride! |
We returned home on Monday to pick up the tired puppies from camp and then proceeded to the AT&T store to purchase another phone for me. My relatively new HTC One X met an untimely death by falling out of my hands onto a brick pavement. The glass screen shattered and spiderwebbed and proceeded to make it even more difficult through the weekend to use the touchpad....thus the importance of a new phone. There went all the savings from the trip! :( All in all, a great weekend, but we're happy to be home. It was a little too hot in Anaheim for us (temperatures in the mid-90's) - guess I'm getting soft living in Seattle!!
great pics.
