August Trip to Huntersville

Brock and I made a little trip to Huntersville to spend some time with the Rosenfeld's (whom we hadn't seen since Christmas!!!) Everyone was healthy and we all tried our best to stay socially distant (hence why Kade didn't come on the trip). 

It was also Maddox's birthday later in the month, so we wanted to hang out with him and bring him an early birthday present! I heard he likes Hess trucks!

Brock and Maddox had some serious bonding time! They were adorable together! 

Hopefully no walls were damaged in this activity.....

I love the little shrill of pure excitement that came from Maddox at the end of the second video! He was loving it!

Time for bed! Maddox was all about copying his big cousin, so when it came time for Brock to brush his teeth, Maddox wanted to do it all by himself too! 

I like this picture of Brian and Nancy - proud parents of an amazing little boy!!

It seemed like a good reading spot too! 

The following day we all enjoyed a beautiful day in the sun on Lake Norman! Look at Brock sneak a little hand-holding in the photo too! 

Brock's (and it seemed Maddox too!) favorite time on the boat - what's for snack? 

Heading back in from a full morning of swimming and Nancy caught this picture of Brock watching Maddox's videos - all cozied up together. So sweet. 

Now Covid go away so we can have make more memories like this soon!!

July Week with Reagan

 

Reagan is back!! We missed out on our second week with Reagan in June, so we invited her back for more fun! 

While Brock went to swim team practice Saturday morning, we opted for an easy stroll around Turtle Park's lake - it was a hot day!

This place always makes for the best/cutest pictures! 

Guess what came in the mail!!??!! Thank goodness.... that was a long wait with no weekend boating! Brent installed it in the boat that very same day!

Just in time for another lake day with Reagan! This time, I made sure to get her in some pictures!

Both boys LOVE to jump off the boat - Brock is a little braver to jump off the high side.... Kade jumps by the ladder.

Cousins!!

On Sunday evening, Reagan took the babysitting challenge! Brent and I ran out for dinner at Maggiano's while Reagan handled these two wildlings. I know at least one of them had fun with her! 

Sour puss face on Kade after school on Monday. 

And she witnessed another momentous occasion as Brock was visited by the Tooth Fairy for the second time in less than 10 days!

4th of July Celebrations

Time to blow stuff up! The boys' favorites are the Snap-its - an interactive a firework! ;)

Headed down to the pool parking lot to set off some PG-rated fireworks. Also, fireworks are expensive! 

 

After setting off some sparklers, Brent got an invite to see some BIG fireworks down at the pool. The boys loved it. We all stayed up late watching the big mortars blow up in the sky! Way to celebrate America's birthday! 

We also felt very patriotic watching Hamilton on our screen porch TV the night it debuted on Disney+! (July 3, 2020)

I made a little frozen yogurt treat with bacon, peanut butter and berries for Moose! I think he liked it!

June 2020 Wrap-Up

The next day following our beach week, we had Papa and Phyllis come over to celebrate big boy's 5th birthday celebration - and Father's Day! We knew just what to cook - fresh-caught Tuna and Mahi Mahi (and steak for Brent)!

With all this rain, my garden has never looked so good!!

And we are back in the pool!
