Towards the end of the season, all teams have a baseball weekend at Thomas Brooks baseball complex in Cary. No shade, it's always hot, and this is the day you have your team and individual pictures taken.
At least the boys' games were the same day - the field beside each other, 30 minute different start time.
As Brent was coaching for Brock's team, this put me on duty for Kade's. Did I mention it was a really hot day?
He loves being at the pitching position!
Good job Dodgers! Way to make it a good game with only 9 players!
The following weekend was to be Brock's last game. My father had recently undergone cataract surgery so was unable to drive himself and since it was a long morning of activities for both kiddos, I picked him up so he could watch!
Poor Brent - his knees were all bruised up after that game! He was also a good sport wearing a kids-sized catchers helmet the whole time!
Since the real game had just started, I drove Kade over to his taekwondo practice and let my Dad stay and watch the game a bit more. (We had time to catch the end of Kade's practice - in the air conditioning!)
Photo from Kade!
Brock was on his A-game. Pitched really well. Here's a solid 9 minute video of Brock pitching his last game of the season.
After this game, the team met out at MOD pizza for an after season party.
Good job Mets! You all tried your hardest and learned a lot this year - I think there were 3 players on Brock's team who had never played baseball before. Mets 2022 Season = 1-9.
Last game for Kade was Thursday evening the next week.

He was bummed he got out the inning before..... so he was done.
Great group this year - if they had kept score, it definitely would have been a winning season - they did really well! Bravo Dodgers!
Look at my little baseballers!
