39 weeks!

39 weeks now! We are READY! Only three more days if you're going to be a Capricorn, otherwise it's all Aquarian - just like you're mother!

I only have two more days of work ahead of me and then I'll be home to wait for this baby. This is coming at just the right time because I come home and I am tired. My legs are definitely tired of carrying all this extra weight too.

Nursery Pictures!!

Panoramic of the nursery
Finally - what everyone's waiting for.... besides, of course, the arrival of the little one... the NURSERY!! The theme began with the adorable bedding - Row Your Boat from PB Kids - sailboats with a giraffe, elephant, bird, and alligator in lovely boyish colors of blue and tan. There's a little pirate hanging over the changing table, right next to a true, bona fide rowing oar. On the lower of the crown moulding shelves is a framed nautical map of Cape Hatteras - provided by his Daddy from his boating days (not that those days are over, just a short hiatus!). The twin bed has a matching sailboat sham and is guarded by Baby Eason's own stuffed animal husky. The glider and ottoman is all ready for book-reading and feeding time, complete with a soft blanket draped over the top, handmade by Cousin Marilyn. Inside the closet is more storage - places for his books, blocks and toys.  This niche was made ready for him to start his journey of learning and figuring out how all things work in this world. We're so excited to meet you little one - please arrive here safe and happy.

38 weeks!

38 weeks as of yesterday! Sorry people for not posting last night (no, I did not go into labor) - we went to see the Book of Mormon showing at the Paramount Theater in downtown Seattle! It was a great show - very funny, very R-Rated - typical Matt Stone and Trey Parker writing.

Notice a difference from yesterday's picture to today's? Finally got my hair cut again - procrastinated right up to when baby comes!

And I'm loving this red wool maternity coat passed down from Mrs. Rebecca Eberle! It's amazing! :) Thank you!

37 weeks!

Only 3 weeks left!! ...Or 21 days..... or 504 hours.... or 30,240 minutes.... until the due date. We're not impatient at all.

John Howie Steak Date Night

While driving to work one day in November, I heard the local radio station, Star 101.5, was having a contest about listeners sharing their worst date night experiences. I remembered one from way back before I met Brent and decided to give it a chance to win a prize and emailed the station. I ended up getting called and sharing my fabulous story. In case you want to know....... it involves meeting a guy at Starbucks on a first date, but the same day he had already booked an out-patient surgery to remove a growth on his neck. He shows up at the date wearing a ratty sweatshirt and a huge gauze pad taped to the side of his neck. I stayed as long as it took me to drink my hot cocoa and that was the end of that! I guess the radio hosts liked that image!

As I'm sure you're piecing together, I had to wait until early December, but I was chosen as one of the lucky winners of the $150 gift certificate to John Howie Steaks in downtown Bellevue. We decided to use it this past weekend before the baby comes because I'm sure we won't be going to any nice dinners for awhile!

After our wonderful date night this past Saturday, the boys needed something a little special too. Here is a picture of them enjoying one of their Christmas treats - side by side like true brothers!!
