Thursday, May 3rd marked Brock's very first Tee-Ball game. After weeks of practicing, we'd see what the team had learned. Baseball is a very complicated sport! He was suited up as the team's catcher for the first two innings.
Brock's first game at-bat!
Good job Brock!
As he made his way around the bases, who was there to greet him at third - Daddy!!
One of my favorite pictures!
Run Home Brock!!
And the Coaches apparently forgot to practice what to do once you arrive at home - nope, you don't get to hit again, back to the dugout with you!
Kade so wanted to go out there and join his big brother!
What a treat - Papa was there to cheer him on. My Dad went to every single game this season!
Good thing Coach Brent was there to keep him in line!
Daddy giving Brock some advice as he holds down the pitcher's spot!
He made some good catches, but mostly received the ball from others.... will have to work on his confidence and aggressiveness!
This is about the time Brock made his infamous play of the season.... Brock fielded the short bunt from the hitter and turned to the Coaches for advice on what to do. Coach Brent and Coach Chris yelled for him to "Go to First," as in throw to first. Brock did exactly as he was told - he dropped his glove, with the ball inside, and ran over to first. Alas, the runner was safe.
Picture below is photo evidence of Brock looking a little bewildered at first with glove and ball sitting safely at the pitcher's mound!
Okay, let's try a little more coaching.
Now we're ready!!
All the while, Kade was having a blast playing in the sand at the playground! Way to go Kade - thank you for not running off!
