Last call for Summer Fun 2020

One of the only outdoor walking paths open these days is the greenway at the NC Museum of Art. The boys enjoyed climbing over every single rock before our walk really started.

It was a warm day - and the one mile walk was plenty for our family of four plus Moose!

Look - Sunflowers! Alas, no Sunflower Festival this year, so these were the next best thing. Some were even taller than me!

Poor Brent has been working on his boat all summer. We took a short test run at Jordan Lake to see if everything was in working order and THANK GOD, it was!

Now we can all play! That water felt good!

Ever wanted to see Moose's jaws in action - slow motion style?

What's a summer without some s'mores in pajamas!?

Early September, we took one more trip up to Kerr Lake (affectionately called "Big Lake") for a whole day of fun. Even the fishing was good!!

Check out Brock's catch on the video:

The boys were thrilled to have caught a large mouth bass and wanted to keep petting it!

A little grilled hot dog lunch on the lake!

This was right before we high-tailed it out of there. The calm before the storm - literally. Apparently there was a huge boat rally for that other guy at these bridges and about 200 boats were making their way to our position.

Once we reached our ramp, Brent asked Brock one more time if he wanted to eat his fish or let it go.... he opted for the latter. Brock and Kade said their good-byes and let it go.

One of the nice things about driving all the way up to Clarksville, VA - we pass a Cracker Barrel along the route! We stopped in just to pick up a jar of Fried Apples - Brock's favorite - and pancake mix.

(Kade is in a "take a picture for my Christmas list" phase)
