Brock's First Easter!

Brock's Easter Outfit - yes, his Polo socks were a tad too big
Happy Easter everyone! We had a great weekend in Seattle - we were blessed with very sunny summer-like weather both Saturday and Sunday!

Saturday morning, Brock received one of his Easter presents early - a new bunny towel - which Brent used to give him a bath! He loves bathtime!

"Dad, you should come in! The water is great!"
We spent the afternoon outside washing our vehicles. Everyone enjoyed their time in the sun - I don't know if Brock knew what to make of the sunlight on his toes!

Then we all got ready to attend church service Saturday evening.

Finally it was Easter morning - time to open presents from the Easter Bunny!!

After Brock's nice morning nap, we were off to the University of Washington to see the Cherry trees in full bloom. I don't think we were the only ones who thought today would be a good day.... I think there were three times as many people this year as when we went last year! All in all, we had a great outing as a family and enjoyed walking around the campus.
"Too bright!!"

This is mostly where Brock hung out - busy exploring his fingers and sucking on them the whole time!

Two Month Check-up

Brock had his two month check-up on Friday. He's doing great!! He is weighing in at 12 pounds, 1 ounce (75th percentile) and 24 inches (90th percentile)! Where did his height come from?? He's growing so fast!! Brock handled his vaccination shots very well too - only cried for a minute and then was coaxed back with a little bouncing. We took it easy Friday night and hung out with Diesel and Oscar. :)

Happy Two Months!

And yes you are my happy boy! My happy two month old!! So sweet and loves to smile! He's discovered his hands - loves looking at them... and of course sucking on them. He absolutely loves his mobile and his ceiling fan (taking after Mom there). He's still a good sleeper and on a nice schedule. We put him down at 10pm and he stays asleep until usually 2:30/3am, then he's up again around 5/6am and then up for good between 7:30/9am. He had some problems with milk, just as both his mom and dad did when they were babies, so we've got him on formula for lactose intolerant babies. It's made such a difference. Poor little guy would spit-up and moan and groan because his belly would be so gassy. He still spits up occasionally, but nowhere near as much.

Today was Brock's first trip into downtown Seattle! We went to visit Daddy for lunch and met lots of his ESPN friends. Brock REALLY likes where Daddy works - Disney characters are all over the walls! We'll have to take a picture next time we go visit.

A picture of unhappy Brock.... although I still think he looks cute (in his defense he needed to be changed (outfit too), but I was determined to take a picture first).

A few from the week...

He's still sucking on those fingers! I wonder if he'll be a thumb sucker because of this, but he really favors more his fingers than his actual thumb.

A picture from bathtime to show that even though he has nice healthy cheeks, he's not a chubby baby! Here's some pictures of him hanging with Daddy.

Yes, I spit up.

And yes, I also watch tv.

"Newborn" Photo Shoot

We were able to squeeze him in for his "newborn" shots just in the nick of time! Apparently the best pictures are ones with the baby between 5-14 days old - Brock was exactly 14 days when we took these pictures! Ooops! Anyway, here's some of our favorites from the session. It's amazing how much he has changed from when these were taken.

Reach, reach, reach!!

Brock loves all the things in his crib and now has started reaching out for the mobile. It is adorable!!
He loves his swing and has started really looking around at everything and focusing in. We love to watch him grow!
And then there's that smile!!! Finally caught it on camera! It must have been the new bouncer chair that Grandpa Rosenfeld bought!!

Hooded Brock

I just had to post these adorable pictures of Brock from today. He's such a cutie in his little hoodie outfit. We had a really good day today - he was super good and love that he can go a little longer between feedings because he's eating more (and spitting up a lot less).

And it's a really good thing that he was such a good boy today because Mommy wasn't feeling good after her tumble down the stairs last night. Yes, I fell down the stairs last night (only the last couple), and thank goodness I was NOT holding Brock at the time. However, I fell right on my back and apparently braced myself with my pinky finger....and broke it. Lovely. So it will be in a nice splint for the next 6-8 weeks I'm sure. Sucks.
