Virginia is for Puppies!!

On Saturday January 11, the Eason Family packed their bags for a day trip to Roanoke, Virginia (Boones Mill)! The trip was a little long for Moose, which necessitated him falling asleep wherever he could!!  ;)

Finally, PUPPIES!!

"What do you think of them Brock?" "Good" (....as he wipes his hands off)

 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ..... I think she counts to six several times a day!!

Those eyes!!

A little chunker!! This is Tavra - the biggest female - almost 20 pounds at 8 weeks!!

Rambunctious!!

This little boy is a biter!

 Curious!!

Those eyes!!

Could care less about the loud chains and buckets!! They just plow right through it!

Kade got curious and investigated this puppy play area. I told him to stay tall so he could play with the puppies in there.

And.... this is what happens when you don't listen to Mommy. I took the picture and then rescued him from the puppy swarm! ;)

Here's that big female again - she likes to eat..... and sleep.

Oh. My. Goodness. Just melting!!! Fizzigig - the other boy!! He was so sweet and such a cuddle bug!

Big paws already at 8 weeks!!

I was finally able to meet Moose's mother, Maleficent - CH So you Shall Deal With Me Guardiana TT, CGC. She was amazing. Seriously. She walked in the room and checked everyone out - keeping a keen eye on the newcomers! But also rolled over for belly rubs!

She's a big girl - wide!! I see a lot of Moose in Maleficent.... or Mal (nickname) in Moose. ;)

This is another of Moose's half brothers - Dim "Difesa Made A Deal With the Devil BH, CGC, TKN." He just turned four. He is a wild child!! Full of lots of energy, but his coloring is really cool - formentino - it's the rarest for the breed.

We let Moose go outside and play with Roz - she's the most amiable to other dogs. And sorry, but this was the only picture I got of them - him checking her out.

Moose making a run. I like the little hop he does over the toy in the backyard!
Alas, it was time to go. Went inside to get our things and took one last video of some tired out puppies!m

Moose!!!

There was something about playing with those puppies - it truly is like therapy! Such a feel good feeling when we left! Thank you Stephanie for letting us come visit!!

Christmas 2019

We had a really wonderful Christmas Eve filled with board games, decorating Christmas cookies, red sweaters for Church, and homemade meatballs with sauce! That evening, we prepared for Santa's arrival by first sprinkling reindeer food on the front lawn!

Step #2 was to put out our sugar cookies with a half glass of milk! Moose said he'd watch it while we put the kids to bed.... he was watching it a little too closely though!

Brent and I settled in to start our Christmas movie tradition - National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. I was sure Santa was ready to arrive by 10:30 that night, however upon checking to see if the kids were asleep, we found one little boy who was not!! Midnight rolled around.... 12:30AM.... Finally at 1 o'clock, I told Brent to get in his bed with the door closed so Santa could finally arrive!!
#crookedstar
Boys were up at 6:15AM! Good thing we zip-tied the baby gate to the top of the stairs so they wouldn't "accidentally" go down! Smiling happy faces!!

One present before breakfast! Then after breakfast we set up the computer so Grammy & Grandpa could watch the excitement from the comfort of their own couch in Nashville!

Santa got him the new Dog Man book!!!

Kade was so excited to get his very own Beyblade (it's a spinner thing that battles other spinners and Brock has quite a few).

(Wouldn't hold still long enough for me to get a non-blurry picture!)

Moose got the toy and chew toys out of his stocking and he was SO happy!

Brent and I agreed that we have never seen him play with a toy for as long of a time as he did with that stuffed animal Moose! He loved it!

Mandalorian LEGO set!! (Sidenote it took him 4 days to put this together and it was glorious it took him so long!)

Happy smile!

We love Amazon gift bags!! :)

Super cool car that races up the wall! Thank you Great-Aunt Carol & Great-Uncle Jeff!!

It was one of the first presents to be opened!! (A video showing it off!)

Kade's present from the Kleins - more Star Wars!! A Lego set to go with his Star Wars gap shirt from Mommy & Daddy!

Brent has been eyeing those amazingly huge arcade games!! Santa brought him a mini-Galaga. :)

Brent's present from Brock - an oversized family game of Connect Four!

Super cool gift from Cousin Andrew!! So thoughtful! A fishing log for the boys to share! This way they can keep track of all these amazing fishing trips with their Dad!!

Finally, a gift for Moose - now we will have canvases of all our pups on the wall!

Catch it quick!! A sweet brother-moment of the two!

A wonderful Christmas day filled with happy children, one loved puppy, and two exhausted, but very content parents. Thank you to all of those wonderful Aunts and Uncles and Grandparents who doted on our boys with material presents or gifts for college! We are so blessed!

A Visit from Reagan!

Reagan came to visit!!!!!!! The boys were so excited to have one of their big cousins here for the holidays!

She got to enjoy brotherly competition right from the start!

It's become standard practice - if you visit our home and are physically able, you will be accompanying Brent to the gym at least once!

Lots of energy in the house for the start of the holiday break, so off to jumping place for all!!

Brock may have lost the first go, so I suggested we make the battle a bit more even and have Reagan on ONE knee!

He's practicing to be able to jump off the side of the boat come summer!

Brock zip-lining across the foam blocks!

Cousin Love!!

We've been here a dozen times, but this time, Brock asked me what that big purple thing on the wall was! Love it!!

After dinner one night, we headed to an amazing lights display in the area. This man puts all these lights on his estate and opens his driveway almost every night in December, letting cars drive through, FOR FREE!

We may have waited for 40 minutes to get to the front gates, but I think it was worth it! Not sure if I'll be able to get Brent to go back next year though.....
Inside and Outside too!!
Cute display of lights in every spare space of room. I liked this one - it looked like little Mia sitting outside my Mom's door.

We were brave and headed to Crabtree three days before Christmas!  We were also smart and walked in before the mall even opened!!

On Kade's last day of school, we headed to Bass Pro to go see Santa (since Kade already saw him solo). Apparently we missed the memo that you can make APPOINTMENTS to see Santa, so once we realized the wait time was over 2 1/2 hours, we opted to send the letter to the North Pole instead.

We did commandeer Santa's North Pole display for some pictures of our own!

Brent took her back to the airport later that night so she would be home for Christmas Eve! We so enjoyed having her here and she was an amazing help keeping the boys entertained. From helping Brock with his baseball swing to giving Kade numerous piggy back rides,  I love that even with the age gap, my boys adore their big cousin.
