First Thursday at the Museum of Flight

It's been over a year since we've visited the Museum of Flight (last time I had a nice big belly!) and I had a feeling Brock would enjoy it again! Next time I'll know that August is a tough month to go! Seafair weekend is the first weekend in August and one of the biggest events is the Boeing Seafair Air Show held over Lake Washington - with the US Navy Blue Angels headlining.

Yes, and they are parked for the evenings at the Museum of Flight. (Plane in blue and yellow to the left of Mt. Rainier)
Regardless of the fact we had to park at a satellite lot and be bussed to the museum, Brock was ecstatic!

He really couldn't wait to point out every single plane/jet/helicopter! I think Kade had fun too! (And by the way, apparently today he learned to say "cheese" for photos!)

It was extremely busy at the museum tonight (wouldn't know it from the above picture!). But they definitely had some new exhibitions that I enjoyed. For example, an entire space-themed room (sponsored by Boeing of course).

I took this picture for my mother - we like to quiz her on her three letter airport codes. My brother and I like to learn new codes based on our new travel destinations too! I knew a few, but my mother said she didn't know two out of them - BFI (which I can't fault her for - it's Boeing Field in Seattle (local airport) and SEL (Seoul, South Korea - which upon reading, Seoul uses a "metro code" to refer to either of the two local airports. (It would be like London using LON for both LGW and LHR) Not cool Museum of Flight, cheating...)

Anyway, back to cute pictures of the kids....

Poor Brent is sick with a bad cold at home, so I had some wonderful stranger capture this moment. :)

Brock liked trying to make this airplane fly. He was cute and asked me "Okay, Momma, what direction should I go?" And then made the airplane move based on my directions. Hmm... why can't he listen to directions at home....

Kade enjoyed his time in the stroller tonight. I tried to take him out as much as I could, but it really was so busy.
Holding the Blue Angels Bear
Why buy it when you can take cute pictures with it right at the store?? :)
Brock and Kade were both really good at the museum and I was so glad I took them - even more happy that he behaved. You'd think he had his fix of airplanes, but even while waiting for the shuttle to come pick us up, he still squealed with delight every time an airplane passed overhead.

Just to sneak this in here.....
Brock's last day of camp was today and I think he had such a great time! Kade and I had to find things to do while Brock played!

And then here's two photos from today before dinner.

Our happy Diesel will be turning 9 in three weeks!
