Taekwondo and Boat Day

The weekend Brock and I were visiting family in Huntersville, Brent and Kade were back home for a Taekwondo tournament! Kade was on it - he had been practicing inside, outside, during tv time, during meals, etc. Ha!

Kade completed his form first - Songahm 2.

Kade asked to compete on this cycle's weapon - bo staff. Practice sessions with the bo staff were done outside as lots of space is needed. I thought he did great! Brent said he earned all 9's!

So proud of this little boy! He earned a medal for his weapons performance!

The following weekend, we had our much overdue lake day. Water was nice and warm, but not bathtub warm.

A fan favorite - jumping off the side of the boat.

See how we parked the boat at the gas station to get some gas? Everyone was happy because they didn't know what was just around the corner.

The boat storage place is less than a mile away - as Brent was reversing the boat into the spot, we heard a dreadful, and unfortunately familiar, noise. The trailer brake rotor came loose and prevented the boat from going backwards. Thank goodness we had two cars, I was able to take the boys home while Brent stayed behind for an hour and a half removing the brake just to get it back in the parking spot. Ugh.... poor Brent and his trailer issues.

A Moose picture to end on a happy note!
