Summer Swim Meets 2023 - Part I

Our Summer Swim meet season started with the usual Blue/White Timed Meet on Tuesday, June 6th. Brock was ready and rearing to go!

And then Brock just makes it look effortless! Favorite part is Kade yelling "See him!! That's my brother!!"

Timed trials are all about "racing yourself" - and showing off how far you've come from last year. Brock secured first place in everything for his team's age group. Kade did really well from last year - especially as he moved up from the 15m race to the "full" 25m race!

Our first actual meet (against another team) was Tuesday, June 13th against Oxxford Hunt. The entire swim team met first to do their team chant!

First up, team relays. Brent was helping with 7-8's and 9-10's down at the far end of the pool. Kade was ready to dive in!

He's so cute - Kade doing his freestyle! He received Fifth place with a time of 29.43!

Brock's 25m freestyle - First place with a time of 16.39. A close one - Chase right on Brock's tail too!

    

Brock's Butterfly on point - First place with a time of 17.87. He secured First place on breaststroke with a time of 23.28 as well. 

Kade did amazing for his first event - with all four strokes. His team was awarded Second place for both the 100m Medley Relay and 100m Freestyle Relay. 

Brock secured a First place finish for his team's 100m Freestyle Relay.

Brock been racing with a lot of these boys for awhile - Chase and Brock (and William) have been swimming together since they were in the 6 & unders!
