Letterland and Kindergarten Field Trip

In late April, Pullen Park was taken over by the Letterland characters. Brock loved his mission to complete all the stamps in the passport book by visiting each character/letter. Some were giving out free swag and others had fun activities associated with the character.

Our first stop, NC State students were on hand for some face painting for "Impy Ink."

Showing off his Sammy Snake "ink" on his hand next to Sammy Snake!

We happened upon Clever Cat. Clever Cat was a little mischievous... she playfully tried taking off Brock's sunglasses.

A break was needed when we passed the playground!

Of course had to take a picture with Red Robot! That is what Brock dressed up as this year!

We did pretty well - we completed about 20 letters and Wake County gave Brock a book of his choice for doing so well! Fabulous event - we'll go back next year with Kade!

A few days later, I had the honor of chaperoning Brock's kindergarten spring field trip!

It was a walking field trip to downtown Apex's fire station!

Brock and his "peanut butter & jelly" buddy, Nora. (His partner for lots of group activities throughout the year)

Right as we were finishing up our inspection of the fire truck, the firefighters got a call and we got to see how quickly they get in gear and GO!

Our field trip included a stop at the new ice cream shop Fresh - ice cream with sprinkles on a very hot day! I even see a smile!!

Back at school, safe and sound!
