Reading Celebration & Brock's Last Day of Kindergarten

AWWWW - ALL the feels!!
Brock, and the rest of the Kindergartners, have been working REALLY hard all year! I love all these apps that send us updates and activities on all that Brock has been up to!

Learning about stuff and writing about it!
All kinds of Math
We were invited to Brock's End of Year Reading Celebration!

Brent and I were looking forward to seeing Brock in action! Brock had prepared three pieces of writing - and he read them all to us. He didn't have three pages of writing (like a few other classmates may have had)... but I will say, I was very impressed with his penmanship!

I give him Oreo's - Awesome! And..... Brent took him to the hockey game! Hmmm!???

After we listened to our own reader, the parents moved around to sit and listen to other kindergartners read their stories. I thought that was really meaningful - each of those kids should be super proud of all that they've learned this year and I hope received some more confidence hearing the praise from other parents!

Finally, the kindergartners gathered to share a goodbye Kindergarten song.

The following Tuesday, June 11th was Brock's last day at school! The kids had a very easy day - pizza for lunch and stopped by the first grade classroom to hear from them what to expect.

Brock's first day and last day of school pictures - Brock grew almost 3" from August and has an appetite like a teenager already! I think he went from a 13 to a size 2 shoe!!

Look out FIRST GRADE, here comes Brock!! And his socks!
